On September 13th, 1980, at 10:08 p.m.,
Christopher Keith Moore was born to Leah Carol Moore and Terry Keith
Moore. I think I weighed 7 lbs., 8 oz., but I'm not totally
sure. I was born in Plano, TX, where you will read I did most
of my growing up. My mom said that I came out really
blue-looking, and that my face was kind of squished. She said
I looked like an old smurf. Anyway, I don't remember anything
from this time period of my life, and my mother isn't on hand to
recall any stories, so I'll move on a couple years. |

I was nearly 2 years old when my sister, Shelley
Marie Moore, was born. The date was June 7th, 1982.
She was also born at Plano General Hospital. My mom said that I
would be really loving to her; kiss her forehead and rub her back
nicely, but then I would realize that I was actually jealous of the
attention she was getting, and I would immediately proceed to kick
her. That was just the start of many years of picking on her
that were to come. |

Vanessa Cooke was our next door neighbor at our
first house in Plano. She was a year older than me, and my
first crush. My mom said I followed her everywhere, and wanted
to do everything she did. Can you blame me? Look at that
blonde bombshell! I lost touch with her over the years, but I
hear she's doing very well. |

I loved playing with my mom and dad as a kid,
especially with Matchbox cars and blocks. I didn't crash them
into each other like most kids; I would spin the wheels and try to
figure out how they worked. My mom once took me to the store
and she was teaching me animals. I was naming some when a
really fat lady walked by. I just happened to say
"hippopotamus" as she passed. My mom then tried to
cover it up by saying "giraffe, tiger" etc... but the
damage had already been done. |

We moved into our 2nd house in Plano in 1985.
I made friends with the Strengers. We used to vacation every
year at the beach in Port Aransas, TX. We stayed at the Sun
Tan Motel, and I have a lot of great memories of that place. I
once caught a dog fish and it made a barking noise at me off the
pier next to our motel. |

After we moved, I started school at Shepard
Elementary. I joined the PACE program (Plano Academic Creative
Education) for "gifted" kids. The only girl in the
program was Amanda Boren (pictured on the right). This was my
2nd crush, and, oh man, it lasted for a long time! I also
started playing baseball around that age, and that also lasted for a
long time. I was Co-President (with Amanda) of our 2nd grade
class (the year those pics were taken). |
